Shopping for Heels with Hyperhidrosis (Best Heels for Sweaty Feet)
I have four weddings to attend this year, which means… I need to wear heels.
Technically only one of the events requires them. But if I’m being honest, I’d like to dress up for the others too. And for me, heels just complete the outfit.
The problem? Finding heels for sweaty feet is never straightforward.
If you’ve ever tried to find shoes for hyperhidrosis, you’ll know exactly what I mean.
I’m trying to strike a balance between comfort and looking cute.
In my previous article The BEST Shoes for Sweaty Feet, I go into detail about what styles work best and what to look for in hyperhidrosis-friendly shoes. But this time, I have a very specific mission:
Find the perfect nude heel I can wear to all four weddings.
The Challenge: The Perfect All-Rounder Nude Heel for Sweaty Feet
For one of the weddings, nude heels are a must. Which sounds simple until you start looking.
Most nude heels fall into two categories:
- Delicate, strappy little things (not always ideal if you have sweaty feet and like to swear socks with your shoes); or
- Demure, sensible, corporate pumps (better for wearing socks with, but not always the style you want)
And I want something in between. Something that is stylish but also practical for plantar hyperhidrosis.
I need this pair to be breathable heels for sweaty feet that I can wear across these multiple events, and again in the future. And ideally without feeling like I’m compromising on either style or comfort.
So, naturally, I had to get strategic.
Two Plans (Because One Option Is Never Enough)
Before I even started shopping, I realised I was working with two possible approaches:
Plan A:
Use sweat-prevention methods like glyco pills or iontophoresis (learn more: Treatments I've Tried for Hyperhidrosis),and be open to wearing strappy heels.
The catch? I’d need to rely on these methods every single time I wear them, not just for these weddings, but ongoing.
Plan B:
Shop the way I usually do when choosing shoes for sweaty feet. By prioritising breathable materials and structure.
If I’m being realistic, Plan A isn’t something I can rely on 100% of the time.
So Plan B it is!
My Non-Negotiables (What to Look for in Heels for Hyperhidrosis)
If I want a true all-rounder, a heel I can wear with or without sweat prevention methods, I need clear criteria:
- Leather (outer AND lining, ideally) for breathability, long-term wear, and smell prevention. This is key when looking for any shoes for hyperhidrosis.
- A style that I can wear socks or sockettes with, which is preferably enclosed toe at least, if not fully enclosed.
- Secure fit for stability and prevents slipping (bonus points for an ankle strap). A closed toe helps with this too because there's no sliding out the front.
When shopping for heels for sweaty feet, these details make a huge difference in comfort and confidence.
With that locked in, I started browsing.
The Search for the Perfect Nude Heels
Online I found plenty of beautiful options that fit my criteria, just not a lot in nude.
And I’m trying not to buy five pairs of shoes (as much as I want to), especially while travelling and living out of a suitcase. Packing space is tight.
So I narrowed down my options and went in-store to try a few on.
Let’s just say I looked like I was a lawyer on my way to court with the block heels I was trying…
Not quite the vibe.

The Find: A Practical Heel for Sweaty Feet
After that disappointing shopping trip, I resumed my online browsing and eventually came across a pair from Jorge Bischoff.
They were exactly what I’d been looking for: an elegant pump that ticked all the boxes in my criteria.
AND they had a low heel height (perfect for the weddings because I don’t want to be struggling by the end of the night in 10cm stilettos).
And the moment I tried them on in-store, I knew they’d be coming home with me.
They weren’t perfect on paper, but they were perfect in practice. And I know they’ll work incredibly well as my all-rounder heels for sweaty feet.
- The outer is leather but the lining isn’t. Instead, it’s an absorbent fabric that felt surprisingly comfortable and not sweat inducing when I tried them on without socks. I normally dislike any lining that isn’t leather for smell and longevity reasons, but because I’ll only be wearing these heels for events not every day, I figured it’s worth trying them.
- They’re fully enclosed and actually cute. Not too corporate, not too delicate.
- And they’re a snug fit, no ankle strap needed.
No slipping. No overthinking. No backup plan required.

The Outcome
I found my perfect hyperhidrosis-friendly nude heels!
Which, if you deal with plantar hyperhidrosis, feels like a small but very real victory.
It means I can show up to these events feeling put together without constantly thinking about my feet, my shoes, or whether I’m about to slide out of them mid-conversation.
If you’re also searching for the best heels for sweaty feet, my biggest advice is to prioritise materials, structure, and practicality over trends. It makes all the difference.
I’m excited I found what I needed to manage my hyperhidrosis on these special days.
Now I just need to find dresses… Maybe I’ll take inspiration from The Ultimate Guide for Sweat Proof Wedding Guest Dresses.
But that’s a problem for another post.
